Here is who we are –
The Constitutional and Democratic Justice Initiative (CDJI) is a non-governmental, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting constitutionalism, democracy, and justice in Nigeria.
Our formation stems from the recognition that the principles of constitutional and democratic justice remain largely untapped as tools for achieving accountable governance, equality before the law, and protection of citizens’ rights.
Our Purpose
We aim to use these principles to inspire public institutions, policymakers, and citizens to address the pressing developmental challenges that undermine Nigeria’s democratic growth — including poverty, corruption, injustice, and social inequality. Our Vision
A just and democratic Nigeria where constitutional values guide governance, institutions uphold the rule of law, and every citizen enjoys equal protection and participation in the democratic process. Our Mission
To promote constitutionalism, democratic accountability, and justice through research, education, advocacy, and strategic partnerships that advance good governance and protect the sanctity of Nigeria’s democracy.
